Description of 1979 Lincoln Continental Collector's Series

My collection has to go... my loss is your gain. I love this car and enjoyed it for years. It's not perfect but it is nice.
To commemorate the final year of the fifth-generation Lincolns, which were the last "large" American sedans, Lincoln offered a Collector's Series as an option package for the Continental. Similar to its namesake option on the Mark V, the Collector's Series offered virtually every available feature as standard equipment. This car is equipped with three out of the only four options available: a power moon roof, 40-channel CB radio and a plush Kashmir velour interior; the price of a fully equipped Continental Collector's Series could exceed $18,000 ($58,787 in current dollars).
The car was painted three years ago and looks incredible. I recreated the original pinstripes, they are not original. The engine runs very well. The transmission is perfect. The brakes are smooth and reliable. The door locks and windows all work.
DEFECTS: The air conditioner is not cold. The radio does not work... the problem is undiagnosed and I never bothered to follow up on it. (There's an extra factory head unit in the trunk). The car was painted three years ago as a general aesthetic upgrade, no body work was needed. Unfortunately, the vinyl bumper inserts were not prepped properly and therefore show the spider-webbing effect of age. The gear shift indicator sticks. The vacuum pressure escapes from the headlight covers after several days of sitting. There's a rattle in the exhaust... again, it's minimal and I never had it checked out. The moon roof was disabled by the previous owner. I do not know what the problem is/was, but it's been neatly sealed from the outside. I don't normally use a moon roof so I just enjoyed the sun through the glass.
