Description of 1983 Lincoln Mark Series mark 6 continental |
I am selling this car for my neighbor whom is 92 years old. He cannot drive anymore due to health reasons. He purchased the car new in 1983. The title is "SALVAGE" due to a 2004 collision between his car and a truck. The trunk lid was smashed in. but it was professional repaired to the original specifications. I have the title in hand and there will not be any problems regarding title. The air conditioner does not work. I believe all the parts are in place. but he never wanted to get it fixed because he always said that he does not drive it far enough for it to cool down the car. In his later years he only did local driving to bank. post office. store. etc. There is a divot out of the foam on the drivers door (it shows in the picture) and the radio speaker needs to be mounted on that door also. The car did pass smog last time required (2013 I believe). However I feel that it is need of some minor tune up and a new hose or two. While he maintained the car very well in the early years the last 4 years or so he only did what was necessary. It does run and the tags are good until Feb 2014. The upholstery need to be cleaned. No stains or rips just from use. Paint with the exception of some minor scratches is very good in color due to the car was in the garage most of the non driving hours. We need to sell this car very soon as it is very hard for him to think of selling it. Out of sight out of mind will be good. We are open to whatever it takes. |
