Description of 1969 Lincoln Continental |
For sale is a 1969 (1968-1/2) Lincoln Continental Mark III HOT ROD!!! This car is a wonderful balance between style, comfort, and power. It can be daily driven with confidence. No rust in floorboards. The engine is a Ford 460ci Big Block with custom cold air intake mated to a FiTech 600hp fuel injection system, weiand stealth intake manifold port matched to a freshened-up set of the stock desired D0VE heads that have been ported and polished with the intake valves increased to 2.19” and exhaust valves Increased to 1.71”. New comp cam (.510in .520ex) with roller timing chain, hardened pushrods with guideplates, and roller tip rockers. Custom made mid length headers flowing to true dual exhaust with an H-Pipe, Dynomax super turbo mufflers and electronic exhaust cutouts (captains calls). MSD ready to run distributor with blaster 2 coil, Ford Racing 9mm wires plugged up to E3 spark plugs replaced recently. Fan delete in favor of 2 electric fans. All of that equates to a bump of horsepower from 365(stock) to around 450-475, and torque from 500(stock) to 550lbft. Transmission was rebuilt weeks ago and a Transgo shift kit was installed previously. Differential is a 3.25 limited slip Ford 9”. Rear drum to disk brake conversion. Battery relocation to trunk. ALL NEW (installed last year) master cylinde, calipers, rotors, wheel bearings, ball joints, control arm bushings, springs and shocks, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings and end links. Repainted October 2017 in hot spring, AR Bumpers and grille re-chromed November 2017 22” Detroit steel wheels Rebuilt radiator Headlight door conversion from vacuum to electric so they do not creep up after an hour after the engine shuts off. New carpet, recovered seats and door panels. New head unit with kicker speakers. 4 new window motors. Automatic climate control works flawlessly with ice cold a/c and piping hot heat. Everything works as it should except for the rear window de-ice which can be fixed with a kit from auto-zone. Passenger seat foreward switch needs replacing or rebuilding. A nick in the headliner half the size of a penny. I think I covered everything but I’m sure I left out some. Wonderful car. Contact with questions. I have more than $23,000 invested. This car is listed locally and I reserve the right to remove the auction at any time. Camaro, corvette, mustang, big block, hot rod, cadillac, pontiac, oldsmobile, mercury
