ALSO, READ THE AD, VIEW ALL THE PICTURES AND WATCH THE VIDEO. THANK YOU!! This generation Lincoln Town Car is the last generation that encompassed the styling from the original Town Car from the 70's. It still carried its sharp, crisp edge styling and long hood but started to become more efficient using less cubic inches and getting more mpg's. This generation is such a pleasure to drive with much better reliability and refined comfortability with all the amenities that makes it a relaxing ride for all 6 adults. Finding these cars with low miles is almost unheard of because of their reliability they were driven for many years and when original owners were done and ready for an upgrade, cab and limousine companies purchased them and drove them for 200k+ miles. Little did we know back in the 80's that one day these large luxury liners will start to become desirable, collectible and more valuable. Now is your chance to own one with low, low miles in a timeless color combination that has been appreciated since day one. The previous owner had passed away in 2015 and when talking to his wife, she explained that he bought it brand new back in 2/1988 as an early retirement present to himself. The vehicle was purchased in NJ and driven right to Florida where it remained until 2004. The Lincoln was only driven for 3 months out of the year when the couple visited FL during NJ winter months. Eventually the owner became ill and was no longer able to drive and travel. It made the trip back up to NJ in 2004 and the last time this car was on the road was 2009. Unfortunately the Lincoln went from the garage to the driveway and was only started periodically and maybe driven around the block by their son. I purchased the vehicle about 6 months ago and since have given it a much needed cleaning and polished the paint and detailed the underneath. So please read on about the condition of the vehicle.MANY MANY PHOTOS BELOW AND VIDEO AT THE VERY BOTTOM!! Exterior: The exterior is in excellent condition showing little wear for it age. There was a minor repair done to the passenger side rear quarter for the wife explained the husband hit a cement post navigating through a bank drive through window. It was immediately fixed but wanted to disclose that information. And I noticed some repair done to the passenger door as well. The carriage roof is original and in great shape considering the age(see video) All the chrome is excellent and the bright work although shine could use a nice polish. There is a stone chip on the passenger side of the windshield. All other glass is excellent. Keep in mind, this is a 30 year old vehicle so there are some dings and touch ups. Wheels show some oxidation. Although it was garaged most of its life for the past 8 years or so it hasn't been preserved like a show car. The family had other priorities. Please view the photos and video and let us know of any questions. Interior: The interior is in excellent original condition. It hardly looks used. On the driver's side dash speaker cover you'll see a section is missing. You can thank me for that, as I was cleaning the dust off the dash I wasn't careful enough and damage that brittle section. Also, about a 5 inch area on the steering wheel is sun faded. The seats, carpet, headliner and all other components are in excellent original condition. The door panels are excellent also with the exception of 2 minor cracks. (See Photos) All power options work well including dual power seats. The radio does not work but a replacement will come with the car. The power antenna functions 100%. The car is a smoke free car with no stink or burns. Let me know of any questions. Drive-Train: The drive-train runs excellent. The 5.0L sounds great and runs quiet. The AOD 4 speed transmission shifts perfectly. The A/C is all intact and will need a charge. I would convert the system to R134a. The tires do show some dry cracking and in fact, if you're going to make this a daily driver I would certainly do belts, hoses and a fluid change all the way around. Brakes seem very strong, but again, would inspect and replace where needed if you're going to drive it. The exhaust is the dual exhaust set up with the H pipe configuration. In decent shape but some of the hangers are dry. Also the spare tire appears to be original to the car. Let me know of any questions you may have, please few the video of the car running. In Summation: This is an excellent example of 80's luxury. A super low mile Lincoln Town Car that could easily be a show car with an intense detail. Or use it as your daily driver. With 19k miles, you'll get years upon years of driving. It is not perfect, keep in mind its 30 years old. Please let me know of any questions you may have. Anything I missed in my words are shown in the pictures and the video will tell all. Payment: $500 non refundable payment due immediately after auction ends via paypal. Balance due in 7 days by certified funds. I can store the car for a period of time until arrangements are made for shipping. Good Luck!! MANY MANY PHOTOS AND VIDEO AT THE VERY BOTTOM!!
