Description of 1954 Lincoln Other

1954 Lincoln Capri Sedan Highway Patrol Police Car Cruiser Runs V8 with Automatic Shift. was originally a police car I believe in Illinois and then changed when painted to have California highway patrol emblems. The car runs and drives. but starts hard (the starter is dragging some). Runs and idles a little rough. it has been over 5 years since it was driven any distance besides around the block. Paint job is good but the rest of the car is not restored. The steering wheel has cracks and needs redone. the power windows are not working. The LH rear door latch does not hold. LH rear door handle plunger is stuck. The LH front door handle is missing the plunger. RH & LH rear door hinges are sagging some. RH Front window glass is cracked. RH Rear door latch sometimes sticks open. Side view mirrors are with the car but not mounted. Front seat wobbles as it is not firmly mounted. Has an aftermarket oil pressure gauge added in. Manual vent windows on both sides are not working when crank is turned. Interior door panels show wear and curled edges. Rear trunk deck someone added speakers and didn't finish covering. Interior needs a general cleaning and going over. The door locks don't work properly and will need replaced. The underside has some issues. The frame is solid with no rotten spots or thin spots. the X body cross piece RH Rear does have a hole that someone torch cut at sometime and not sure why. was done long ago. The outriggers on both sides show rot where they meet the body but are solid on frame ends. Drivers floor pan needs replaced as you can see carpet from underneath the car. The steel tube to blow heat to rear of car under the drivers floor pan shows a hole and some rot also. The rockers were redone whenever it was painted and the inside walls show holes and need done on both sides. RH Rear 1/4 panel shows some dinging on underside edge. Its a car that was painted nicely but still needs a lot of restoration. The car comes with a 6 volt battery but it does not hold its charge and will need jumped or replaced to drive on a transport or trailer. CAR IS SOLD WITH A CLEAR PA TITLE READY TO TRANSFER.
