Up for auction we have a 1979 Lincoln Continental with 34,000 original miles. Car is all original with the exception of tires and battery. True barn find. I have all original paperwork from when car was purchased brand new. I am the 2nd owner. Interior:Interior is immaculate. No rips tears or odors. Seats show no signs of wear. Dash pad is perfect. No cracks. Power seats, radio with 8 track, power antenna, cruise control, HEATED MIRRORS, power locks all function as they should. Power windows all work but driver vent window needs to be glued to track. Body:Paint is all original and is flat in spots. Never been repainted. No filler. Has small areas of rust in a few places. I took pictures of every area of rust on body. Vinyl half top needs to be replaced. Also shown in pictures. All lights and turn signals work. Hide away headlight doors were working up until a month ago. Drivetrain:Motor runs excellent. No smoke or noises. Just changed oil. Car is powerful. Transmission shifts perfect. No slipping or jerking. Fluid is clean. Car starts easy even in the winter. Choke and step down fast idle even work. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Heater core is currently bypassed. It leaks. A/C needs charge.
To sum it up, if you are looking for one of these cars, this is the one you want. Car could be driven as is for car show season and would be an easy restoration. Car gets a lot attention every where it goes. Very comfortable. Rides like a dream. I have a clean and clear title in my name. If you would like to see car prior to bidding I'm in Berlin NJ 08009.
