Description of 1972 Lincoln Mark Series |
1972 Lincoln Mark IV 460 79,000 MILES Clean clear Delaware title in my name. Car is registered and insured. It passed Delaware inspection and emissions. I drive it in nice weather. VIN Code 123456789 FEATURES AND OPTION INFORMATION 460 4 barrel motor, C6 Trans, 9" 3.25 rear Cold AC converted to R134A Light Ginger Moondust Metallic 5D paint code Power windows, cruise, tilt, rimblow horn, AM FM, Power Antenna, Power seats, power trunk release, power locks, rear ABS brakes, Beautiful chrome bumpers. 1972 is the best year. They don't have the ugly 10mph bumpers Ignition converted to Pertronix electronic. The headlight doors stay closed for 3 days. Brown vinyl top, brown leather interior, brown shag carpeting 4 new tires, New drivers window motor. New rear axle bearing and oil. New belts, cap rotor, and spark plugs. Edelbrock 600 carb with electric choke.Runs on 91 octane pump gas. I add lead every 2 tankfulls. New custom $750 dual exhaust system with 2 1/2" Gibson performance mufflers. Car sounds great. The frame, floors and trunk are solid. The car has great bones. All power options working. Not a daily driver. 12mpg hwy, 7 mpg city. Heavy, nice riding car. I bypassed the heater core. I have a new one in the garage. The old one leaked. I have highlighted the flaws. The car will need body work as you can see. The car is very reliable. It always starts and rides like a dream. You can drive this car to Florida and back the way it is.

The clock will need to go out to clockworks dot com for repair.
I wanted to highlight some of the defects on the body and interior. The clearcoat is peeling so of course the car will need paint. There is some rot which I have highlighted in the pictures and there is some wear in the leather on the drivers seat. The dash has a hairline crack over the winter. Please keep in mind this car is pretty much original and unrestored. If you are expecting a perfect show car this is not it. It's a nice driver if you can afford the gas.
