Description of 1964 Lincoln Continental 4dr Sedan |
Highlights: 1964 Lincoln Continental 4-Door Sedan Our Quick Condition Guide - (Condition Rating Scale: #1 Perfect, #2 Near Perfect driver, #3 Excellent driver, #4 Nice driver, #5 Needs Work, #6 Parts. Each section is rated based on the type of vehicle it represents being part of.) Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *Condition #3++ This is a beautiful 1964 Lincoln Continental 4-door sedan in amazing original condition inside and out. This is a true survivor with mostly all original paint, all original interior and all original chrome. It is getting harder and harder to find survivors like this, especially in this nice of condition. We purchased the vehicle out of an estate from the previous owner who recently passed. The gentlemen had owned the car since 1976 and we were told he was the third owner of the vehicle. It comes with original books, manuals, and build sheet, which shows the original owners name and information on it. This was an original Ohio car its entire life with original Ohio plates, AAA Sticker, and appears to be original license plate frame from the dealership. Although this vehicle has been in Ohio, it has been in amazing storage and extremely well taken care of and maintained, as it has also always been garage kept. The car is solid as a rock and almost completely rust free. This beauty only has 66k original miles and it definitely shows, it runs and drives amazing with its original 430 engine. The exterior is finished in very beautiful silver sand metallic with a gorgeous pearl beige leather interior. It even has the original owners nametag plaque on the dash from new that Lincoln puts on the cars when you order them. This is a truly amazing Lincoln that is very hard to come by in this shape. It just shines beautifully and is a true conversation piece as it shows in its original condition here. This Lincoln will stand tall at any car show and even can be judged in preservation class at any car show or Lincoln event. Don't miss out, a car like this will not last very long at all being one of the best years for the Lincoln's and being in amazing condition inside and out. Options/Equipment: 430 ci V8 Motor Exterior: *Condition #3+ The exterior on this Lincoln shows absolutely beautifully and it unbelievably retains still almost 90% of its original paint that has a beautiful shine to it. Although it has a couple flaws and a few little touch ups here and there that we noticed. The paint has a beautiful shine, the body is as straight as an arrow down the sides, very few imperfections on the car except for a few little spots of patina here and there that is shown in the video but hard to explain in words. Please watch the video to see them all pointed out. The exterior shows excellent overall and is finished in silver sand metallic. With all original chrome and trim that is in absolutely beautiful condition with just a small couple flaws which are explained in the video. All of the glass is original that appears to be crystal clear and has one tiny little chip on the windshield that is shown in the video. The car is sitting on its original hubcaps with white wall radial tires and the hubcaps are in excellent original condition. The car just shows like a very well kept low mileage original that stands out in a crowd. Interior: *Condition #2- The interior is completely all original pearl beige leather interior that is absolutely gorgeous and is all original right down to the original carpet that is in amazing condition It will be hard to find a cleaner, original interior car than this one. The leather is nice and soft and supple showing that it has always been garage kept as it is near mint with out cracks. The dash pad and gauge cluster are almost as clean as the day it was new. All of the trim and bright work in the car shows amazing. Everything seems to work inside of the car with the exception of the clock and the radio turns on but doesn't make any sound, which we are thinking could be a speaker or bad connection. In the door jams all of the sill plates are beautiful, all the original weather stripping is still in excellent condition believe it or not. Inside the truck is in amazing condition with all original trunk liner, spare tire, jack, tire cover, and all original weather stripping. It looks like it has never been used and has been preserved very well. You will not find a cleaner interior than this one, looking at it makes you feel like you went back in time to 1964. Mechanically: *Condition #3+ Mechanically, this car is in excellent condition. We just had it fully checked out and serviced as the car has been in storage for the last year or two. It has its original 430 engine that runs like a top with only 66k original miles on it. The car was fully tuned up, the carb was gone through, checked out the brakes, all of the gauges and it is in great running and driving condition. Under Carriage: *Condition #3 This Under Carriage on this vehicle is in excellent original untouched condition. It has never been detailed or anything and still has its original undercoating, rubber grommets in the floor pans that have never been touched which shows that it has truly been a garage kept car. The car is 99% rust free with the exception of two little rust spots underneath the driver and passenger floor pan in the supports underneath the floor pan that are the size of about a half dollar each. These are nothing structural and are very easy repairs but we left them to show we are not hiding anything. We show all of this in detail if you watch the video, the exhaust system is in decent shape but has two glass pack mufflers which sounds fine but has a little rumble to it so if you want it totally quiet I would put two mufflers on it. The front and rear suspensions are both very clean and recently serviced with new shocks and new bushing in the front end. The car runs and drives great and stops great.
