Description of 1963 Lincoln Continental

TOP WORKS!! For sale is a 1963 Lincoln Convertible. This car runs well. drives. shifts and steers well. The top has been fully gone through and works completely. I have driven it on surface streets for about 30 miles. and it is pleasant to drive. The car is completely original (with the exception of one of the window switches). It is otherwise completely unmodified. Options include AM/FM radio (rare). auto dimming headlights. and cruise control (rare). Paint color is the original Spanish Red Metallic (Q). and appears to have never been repainted or even touched up. This car was purchased from the original Denver. Colorado owner in October of 2014. Since then significant work has been done. including. - new carburetor - newly rebuilt original 3 port fuel pump - new front and rear wheel cylinders - new master cylinder - new transmission modulator - differential serviced - complete fluid change - brake service - new transmission pan gasket - new battery - new lower ball joints - new strut rod bushings' - new lower control arm bushings - new sway bar links - new front coil springs - rear leaf springs were replaced 4 years ago - radiator and surge tank rebuilt' - new spark plugs. wires. tune up - All of the window switches were rebuilt - All of the top switches in the trunk were rebuilt as well as the master top control switch and the top unlock switch - top motor replaced with working unit - top hydraulic cylinders replaced with new - hydraulic lines to top hydraulic cylinders replaced with new - deck lid hydraulic cylinders replaced with good working - top system hydraulic fluid replaced (Type F Transmission fluid) and the deck lid and top hydraulics bled. - top relays all checked and work properlyAuto Drop for rear windows works properly!Vacuum door locks work perfectly!Heater worksHeater blower worksWipers workWiper squirter motor worksAll lights and turn signals and emergency flashers workHorns workInterior courtesy lights workSeat control switches and seat transmission all work properlyAntenna worksAM/FM Radio comes on but does not playAll window switches have been rebuilt All window motors work except drivers ventCarpet is nice original. Seats are original leather. recently redyed. They are comfortable and have no tears. but lots of surface cracking. Top cloth needs to be replaced and remainder of top mechanism service work done. in order to get the top working. This car needs to be repainted. and rust to the body repaired. Has rust holes behind rear wheels and front wheels. and in front of front wheels. The body is extremely straight with no evidence of prior accidents. and barely any dings. but plenty of body panel rust repair. Hood is rust free. Deck lid has one small rust bubble. otherwise nor evidence of underlying rust on the outside surface. Deck lid paint is shot. Some surface rust on underside of deck lid at seam lines. Exterior stainless trim is overall very nice. with a small scattering of dings. There is surface rust on the underside of the car. but no rust holes. and the floors are all solid. Odometer reads 55. 00 miles. Based upon pedal wear. car likely has 155. 00. Overall. this is an original. unmolested 1963 Lincoln Continental Convertible in one of the most desirable original colors. Has several very nice options. including original AM/FM radio. cruise control. working vacuum door locks. and auto dimming headlights. Thousands of dollars have been spent on recent mechanical work. Starts. runs and drives nicely. Top has been gone through and works properly. If you have any questions. please do not hesitate to call me.
