Description of 1971 Lincoln Mark Series |
Up for my sale is my personally owned for over 15 years beloved 1971LincolnMark III that has plenty of history with me and is mechanically well maintained but will need body work to make her be a show car like she once was. Th only reason I am selling her here with NO RESERVE is that I lost my storage building due to the Pandemic and I have to vacate the premises within 90 days, so my loss is your gain. To begin with the drive train, suspension, transmission, braking and steering are all in exceptional mechanical condition. The tires are brand new, but two have dry rot of the sidewall and the custom exhaust purrs like a kitten and really sounds like a real cruiser that she is, with a touch of Roar that makes everyone notice her. The acceleration on this 460 V8 is incredible and she is matched with a rebuilt transmission that I rebuilt personally over 5 years ago when the car had 97k miles on her so the transmission only has 20k on her. The electronics all work, the antennae works with the original radio, and the light covers even close when she is running, and she makes heads turn wherever she goes even in the less than show condition she is in now. She will definitely need a new battery but the good news is there was a special cut off battery switch installed by me years ago that works as a battery saver and anti theft for the car and is industrial quality. The cosmetics are not that bad as all the body panels are straight, there is slight rust in the wheel well area of both rear quarter panels and rust on the rear deck ventilation lid and no dents on any kind. All the moldings and insignias and grill are all in place and the paint does shine when waxed. The Vinyl Top from temperature conditions needs to be replaced or it could be taken off and then painted as the condition of the roof is good. The interior back seat is in Excellent condition for the car's age and the front seats have some minor tears that could be addressed by the upholsterer as the rest of the seats are in very good condition. The dash is also in good condition and the heat works but the ac does not, and the lights turn signals and brake lights all work the way they should and so does the driver and passenger windows work with power controls. This is a marvelous rendition of this car and an excellent restoration project for the person that wants to address the body and interior and drive this magnificent "French Connection" Automobiles with a little effort she can be worth over $15,000 with the dedication and love that she deserves. This car represents a tremendous value here on ebay with NO RESERVE and the highest bidder will win her. I have a clean transferable title in my name and At the conclusion of the auction and within 24 hours a $100.00 NON REFUNDABLE deposit is due and then payment is then duewithin 3 days. The vehicle must be picked up within 10 calendar days from the conclusion of the auction or a $65.00 a day storage fee will assessed per day after the 10th day. The vehicle is sold AS IS Where is will need to be towed out of our yard, due to the battery issue and dry rotted tires in the back, and a $349.00 document fee will be assessed to the auction win, for title, transfer and associated Administrative fees for insertion and review of this auction. If you have any questions please email me through the ebay system with your contact phone number so that we may respond to you. Enjoy My auction and Happy Bidding, Ron 631-671-9067 |
