Description of 1964 Lincoln Continental

Selling this one for a Good Friend...1964 Lincoln Convertible Custom 2-Door. The Convertible Lincoln's of the Sixties were one of the Coolest Classiest Cars of the Era. With the touch of 1 button, the top went down with no need to snap down a cover for the top...The Hard Boot cover deployed automatically thru a series of motors, relays, and brilliant engineering. It was a clean design compared to the Juke Box Fifties...
Meet "Shorty", the prior owners name for his 1 of a kind TWO door Continental. As most of you know, only 4 doors left the factory. Story goes, Original owner took his new car to a coach builder in California, who normally stretched cars, and asked for a 2-Door. One set of the famous Suicide Doors were removed, the result is the only 2-door known to exist! Late owner loved his Lincoln Convertibles, who 20 years ago had 25 at one time (see photo)...This one was his favorite, and the last of those 25 to go to a new home...
The car is a Solid 56 Year Old Survivor. It was scheduled for a Full Restoration, with a Brand New Exhaust ordered (See Photo) which is still in the wrappers, and included. It can be driven as is, or upgraded over time. There is one small spot repaired in the paint (See Photo).
Most of you know all the rest of the story, feel free to ask any Questions BEFORE the end of the auction. Remember, it is expensive to list on Ebay Motors, please only bid if you are ready to buy...Thank you for looking...
