This 1978 Lincoln Town Coupe with the fixed glass roof option is a major award winner at multiple national Lincoln meets. Western and Eastern National Senior award winning. Approximately 1,000 built this year with the fixed glass roof option. The odometer currently reads 97,300 Kilometers which is approximately 60,500 Miles. The fully detailed and correct engine bay house the 460, the R12 A/C blows cold and all options perform as new. All four aluminum turbine wheels have been refinished and polished. The undercarriage has been completely detailed new exhaust, shocks, brakes. And bearings within the last 2,000 miles. This car is capable of driving cross country and maintained as such. It has 90% of its original paint, the front panel and headlight doors had rock chips that were taken care of. The entire car went through a multi step process of cleaning and polishing prior to adding the ceramic coating which makes it appear to have been repainted. The engine compartment and undercarriage of this car are detailed as precisely as the paint has been. All features of this car function as new, it can be driven anywhere and is maintained for that purpose. It does get driven regularly for pleasure weather permitting and does make all of the drives as planned when at a judged event. This particular car has been painstakingly cared for over the years by the original owner and myself, the fixed glass roof in this car along with the condition set it apart from all other in the same class. It truly is a unique car that the opportunity to own will only come around occasionally. I am the second owner of this car, it was originally sold in Canada and is equipped with the metric instrumentation as the primary reference. Since shown at the Eastern National meet in September of 2019 the Valino Grain vinyl roof has been replaced and it 100% correct as it was ordered from the factory.
