1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan! Loaded & Modernized! Crown Victoria Front Suspension. Power Windows. Power Seats. Power Steering. Power Brakes. 5. 0 302. Real Leather Interior. & More! 80+ Photos & Video! This Lincoln is absolutely stunning in person. Very rarely can this be said but the photos and video of this Lincoln do not do this car any kind of justice. This Lincoln runs and handles just like a new Lincoln. Everything works on it and it is ready to cruise. Approximately 6-7 years ago. this car completed a no expense spared. full restoration. Since being completed. it has had roughly 1. 00 miles put on it. The previous owner built this car with one intention. To have something different & comfortable which he could take his family out on cruise nights with. He definitely achieved that and then some with this remarkable automobile. The body of this Lincoln is completely straight and rust free. The paint and body work were professionally done approximately five years ago. I would rate the paint about a 7/10. It was done in a two stage base coat clear coat. The stainless and chrome through out the Lincoln were taken off of the Lincoln during the restoration process and were completely gone through. The stainless is beautiful but the rechromed bumpers are phenomenal. They just gleam. I feel a great amount of empathy for the drivers who have to catch the glare coming off of them. The bezels. bumpers. hood ornament. and trim are just absolutely stunning. All of the glass through out the Lincoln is in excellent shape. Something I learned a long time ago is that the underside of these old cars. they tell the entire story of how they were handled through out the course of time. With this Lincoln. it was clear that whoever owned her. held her to a high standard. The underside of the Lincoln is gorgeous. The suspension of this Lincoln has been completely redone. It now has a Crown Victoria front end which has been re-enforced to accommodate the weight of the car. I can't emphasize enough how well this has helped the handling of this car. It just soars down the road with zero problems. No rattles. no shakes. no pulling. It handles better then most of the newer luxury vehicles I have driven. The white walls that are on the Lincoln are fairly new with very few miles on them. The 302 motor within this Lincoln is exceptionally strong. It does not smoke. leak. nor burn an excess amount of fluid. It is backed by a four barrel carburetor which works extremely well. The transmission is also in excellent working order. It shifts out flawlessly with out any issues. The power steering and power brake setup also work perfectly. The Lincoln does not pull or shake when braking. All four power windows work with ease. They are new and operate like it. All of the gauges through out the instrument panel are in excellent working order. The turn signals. lights. windshield wipers. gas gauge. speedometer. all of it works. The power seat also works with out any issues. The interior within the Lincoln was completely redone. The seats both front and rear as well as the door panels are made from real leather. It is exceptionally comfortable. The headliner and carpet are in excellent condition with no tears nor stains. The instrument panel and chrome through out the dash are in great shape. There has been some minor touch up paint applied to the dash. The one thing that this Lincoln could use is some detailing under the hood. I don't believe the engine bay has been detailed since the day it was completed. That is the cars only weak point which is something that could easily be remedied. This Lincoln attracts attention no matter where it goes. It has an exceptional amount of room and is very comfortable. It is also extremely reliable. I would not hesitate to hop in it and drive clear across the Country. If you're looking for something that is different and destined to continue upwards in value. then there is no better place to invest then in this Lincoln. We do have a clear title for this Lincoln.
