1963 Lotus Cortina MARK 1 CLONE. Off body- rotisserie restoration completed in 2014.Extensive history- 1 family owned, purchased new in 1963 from Ford dealership in Austria. Converted at that time to be a Lotus Cortina mark 1- with left hand drive. Was used as a daily driver until 1975 traveling throughout Europe. In 1975 it was given to the father's son which he enjoyed for 40 years-Bringing it to the US in Palm Springs. Complete nut and bolt restoration completed by Genhard Giesser (an expert for these cars) in 2014. All parts ordered from the UK, and built with a Formula Ford Crossflow Kent engine producing 150 horsepower with the weight of the car at 1580 pounds. 9000 rpm red line. Needless to say, quite fast. Duel 40 Weber dcoe carbs. Converted to a 5 speed transmission- disc brakes. Paint is nearly flawless. Everything new/redone-Fiberglass bonett, and trunk lid. Plexiglass door windows and rear window.
