Description of 1973 Maserati Other

YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1973 MASERATI BORA, QUIPPED WITH ITS FACTORY 4.9L ENGINE MATCHING NUMBER. I AM SELLING THIS CAR FOR A FRIEND OF MINE SO ALL PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE DIRECTLY TO THE CURRENT REGISTERED OWNER ON TITLE.THIS CAR SPENT SEVERAL YEARS IN STORAGE UNTIL IT WAS PURCHASED BY THE CURRENT OWNER, PPROXIMATELY 6 YEARS AGO. WHILE HE OWNED IT, HE CITROEN HYDRAULICS WERE REPLACED WITH THE MORE CONVENTIONAL SYSTEM THAT WAS USED ON THE LATE MERAK SS. HENCE, HE PEDAL ASSEMBLY AND BRAKE BOOSTER FROM A MERAK SS WERE USED INSTEAD OF THE ORIGINAL SETUP. ALL ORIGINAL PARTS ARE INCLUDED WITH THE CAR SHOULD THE PURCHASER FEEL IT NECESSARY TO CONVERT THE CAR BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL DESIGN. NOTHING WAS MODIFIED OR CUT. THIS WAS A STRAIGHT, OLT-ON SWAP OF PARTS. THE PREVIOUS OWNER FELT THAT IT WAS MORE PRACTICAL TO USE CONVENTIONAL BRAKES SINCE HE INTENDED TO DRIVE THE CAR ON A WEEKLY BASIS, O WORK AND BACK, HICH HE DID---FOR 6 YEARS, DDING ROUGHLY 10K MILES. DURING THAT TIME, HE CAR WAS RESPRAYED AND THE SEATS REUPHOLSTERED. IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, HE PAINT JOB IS A 10-FOOTER. ALL PANELS WERE RESPRAYED, AVE FOR THE DOOR JAMB. NO RUST OR SIGN OF ACCIDENT WAS FOUND DURING THE PREP WORK. ALL DOORS, OOD AND REAR CLIP WERE TAKEN DOWN TO BARE METAL.I DO NOT KNOW IF THE MILEAGE IS ACCURATE. THE ODOMETER CURRENTLY READS 25K MILES AND WHEN THE PREVIOUS OWNER PURCHASED IT, T READ 16K MILES. MECHANICALLY THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES NICELY. IT HAS DEMONSTRATED STRONG OIL PRESSURE---WHETHER THE ENGINE IS COLD OR WARM. A COMPRESSION TEST WAS DONE LAST WEEK AND ALL CYLINDERS AVERAGED 150PSI ENGINE COLD +/- 10%. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BORA THAT YOU CAN DRIVE ON A DAILY BASIS AND DON'T WANT TO WORRY ABOUT THE CITROEN BRAKES FAILING AT THE WRONG TIME, HIS CAR IS FOR YOU. AND IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A DRIVER, OT A SHOW CAR, VINTAGE VEHICLE YOU CAN ENJOY WITHOUT FEAR OF SCRATCHING ITS EXPENSIVE PAINT JOB, HEN THIS CAR IS FOR YOU TOO.THIS BORA IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT ANY TIME DURING THE AUCTION. YOU ARE WELCOME TO TAKE IT ON A TEST DRIVE OR TO YOUR LOCAL SHOP TO HAVE YOUR PERSONAL MECHANIC HAVE A LOOK AT IT. DO NOT CALL FOR AN INSPECTION AFTER THE AUCTION HAS ENDED.YOU ARE CERTAINLY NOT BIDDING TO GET THE RIGHT TO INSPECT THE CAR BUT ARE BIDDING TO WIN THE CAR! SO ALL QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED DURING THE AUCTION. THE BUY-IT-NOW PRICE IS VERY FAIR IN COMPARISON TO MOST BORAS THAT ARE ADVERTISED, SUALLY FOR WELL OVER $200K. THE BORA THAT SOLD TWO WEEKS AGO AT AUCTION IN EUROPE SOLD FOR AN INCREDIBLE $260K. THIS BORA IS PRICED TO SELL. PLEASE NOTICED THE AFTERMARKET STEERING WHEEL BUT THE ORIGINAL MASERATI STEERING WHEEL AND HORN BUTTON COMES WITH THE CAR.ALL SALES ARE FINAL. PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS AFTER THE AUCTION HAS ENDED.
