Description of 1970 Maserati Ghibli Leather

  • This 1970 Maserati Ghibli coupe was manufactured in January 1970 and delivered new to Citroen Canada in Montreal. Later repainted in red, the car remained in Canada until 2004, when it was acquired by a marque specialist out of Santa Barbara, California and subsequently restored. It is now finished in Blu Pervinca over a black interior and shows 49k miles. Power is from a 4.7-liter DOHC V8 paired with a ZF 5-speed manual transmission, and factory equipment includes power steering and a Blaupunkt radio. Maserati Classiche documents include a certificate of origin, delivery records, data sheet, and equipment list. Acquired about a year ago by the current owner, this Ghibli has won awards at the Concorso Italiano in Monterey, California and is now being offered on dealer consignment in Connecticut with a binder of photographs documenting the restoration, as well as a clean New York registration in the current owner’s name.

This car features toggle switches across the upper portion of the center console, and the seller notes that interior brightwork was resurfaced in 2006 as well. The car is said to retain its factory glass, and a tear in the passenger-side front window seal is shown in the gallery below.
