Description of 1985 Maserati Biturbo |
Up for sale is a 1985 Maserati Bi-Turbo Coupe. This car was purchased by my friends parents in 1987 from a Maserati dealer in Boston MA. I have all of the service records on the vehicle and the receipts for the service that I performed since taking ownership of the car in March 2020 From the service records i was able to see that the lower ball joints were replace in 09/28/1990 at 21,000 miles and the timing belt and water pump were replaced on 07/14/1989 at 17,614 miles. The remained of the receipts are for routine oil changes, tun ups and safety inspections. Prior to my purchasing the vehicle, the car had not been on the road since 2015. Since that time the car was garage kept and not exposed to the elements. Since purchasing the car I drained the fuel tank, replaced the fuel pump, rebuilt the carburetor, and rebuilt the front and rear suspension bushings(dry rotted). Condition: there is a small rust spot on the passenger side rocker panel(see photo) 5 or 6 small chips on the driver's side rear quarter (see photo) The car appears to have been repainted at some point but there is no signs of accident damage. The interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tears other than the driver's side door panel(see photo) the car still retains the original Maserati floor mats and the carpet does not have any rips or tearing. The engine does run rough and will need some gaskets and hoses, but the car starts right up and the transmission shifts smoothly other than that the car will need tires, brakes and alignment. The car recently passed the Rhode Island safety inspection. If you are interested in purchasing the vehicle and have additional questions, please feel free to call me at 401-965-0341 A deposit of $1,000 is due within 24 hours of the auction by Paypal, the balance will be due after 72 hours of the end of the auction by wire transfer or if sold locally in person by cash. |
