Description of 19940000 Mazda MX-5 Miata 2dr Converti |
this is some information about a mazda miata R 1994-1997 MX-5 “RLimited” By 1994, he Miata’s engine had grown from 1.6 to 1.8 liters, nd Mazda was ready to really tinker with its roadster’swinning formula. The result was the “R Limited,” which was the first truly hot Miata, nd came from the factory ready to race. Offered as a $1,500 option for just fouryears, Limited cars were about50 pounds lighterthan the base model roadster, ad astiff racingsuspension and lightweight BBS wheels, all making thecar’s superlativehandling evenmore responsive. To show that it was serious, azda didn’t offer creature comforts like power steering, eather seats, ran automatic transmission on the R cars. Despite a serious performance boost,Mazda found few takers for the R cars, ellingonly 1,841of itstrack day specials. a base model equipped with the R Package—"R" meaning "race." Although the Miata is no stranger to the racetrack—Miatas have won the SCCA's Showroom Stock C Division for two consecutive years now—Mazda is taking the car one step further this year with a race handling package. The $1500 package includes stiffer springs and bushings, tiffer shocks (now by Bilstein), lloy wheels, nd front and rear spoilers. There are restrictions, oo: power steering and anti-lock brakes are not available, or are extra-cost items from the regular Miata option packages. An exception is air conditioning. Our R Package car weighed only 37 pounds less than the M Edition, hich is a smaller difference than we expected. The package has obvious benefits. Compared with the M Edition, he lighter R was quicker out of the gates, eaching 60 mph more than a half-second sooner. (Because the weight advantage was only minor, e think our R car must have had a somewhat stronger engine.) Handling is altered profoundly. Where the standard Miata tiptoes delicately through curves NO RESERVE AUCTION This is a spectacular driving Miata R version owned by Bob Ryan who is 84 years old and this was his dream car. he is just not able to get in and out of the car anymore. he is a very maticulous man and a great customer. he has maintained this vehicle to its fullist and more NEW TOP 3 YEARS AGO TIMING BELT SERVICE AT 60K MILES ALWAYS CHANGES HIS OIL WITH RED LINE SYNTHETIC EVERY 3 MONTHS METAL SPLASH SHIELD ALL SILICONE LINES ALUMINUM STRUT TOWER BRACES FRONT AIR DAMS UPGRADED RADIATOR MIATA SUNSHADE RACING BEAT INTAKE AND COLD AIR SYSTEM STAINLESS STEEL HEADERS AND COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM CROSS DRILLED ROTOTRS AND EBS BRAKES ALL AROUNDNEW CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL AND MASTER 90K MILES REAR DIFF FLUID CHANGED EVERY 10K MILES WITH REDLINE SYNTHETIC ANOTHER TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT AT 90K MILES BFG G-FORCE SUPER SPORT TIRES ALL AROUND AT 109K MILES SKID PLATE SILICONE VACUMN HOSES STAINLESS STEEL BRAKEHOSES AND STAINLESS TELL CLUTCH HOSSES WHOLE NEW LEATHERINTERIOR 5K MILES AGO NEW HELLA HEADLIGHTS NEW STEREO AND SPEAKERS AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON LIKE I SAID THIS WAS HIS BABY |
