Description of 1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata Special Edition |
Very low mileage (67,1xx), 1991 British Racing Green/Tan Leather/Special Edition#3152 of 4000:power steering, power brakes, ABS, air-conditioning, cruise control. Clear title. Original Nardi shift knob, wooden emergency brake detailing, special edition center console and owners' manual with wallet. This was originally a Southern California car. I purchased it in 1994 and enjoyed driving it so much that it followed me to New York and then to Utah (by covered removal van and then covered car transporter). It has never been a daily driver in snow and rain (I doubt it would be very good in snow). It has mostly been a fine weather, "weekend car" and has had an easy life. The car is so fun to drive without being super fast and risking speeding tickets! All required services have been done and I have all the receipts. The radiator, steering pump and catalytic converter have all been replaced. The front left-side fender is a replacement because of a minor "brush" by a deer, affecting that body panel only. I added a hitch (easily removed), but only to carry my bicycle Included is the original boot for the soft-top (very little use) as well as a full tonneau cover that covers the front seats (this has been used more and one catch is broken, easily remedied with a sewing machine). Also included is a nice, fitted dust cover. The soft top is good, but the plastic rear view window is a little crazed, although still fine to see out of. The interior is in very good condition with just normal wear. The top of the dash is in surprisingly good shape. Clock, CD, radio and cassette player all work normally with additional speakers in the seat headrests. The door sills have stainless covers. The spare tire is original and unused. The inside of the trunk looks like it is from a one-year-old car! Overall, the exterior paint appears very impressive; close inspection will reveal some blemishes, stone-chips and one very-small ding. The wheels are original, but the chrome is pitted in places. I was thinking of getting them re-chromed, before I decided to sell the car. Other than the wheels, I have not noticed any structural or body rust on the car at all. Utah smog and safety tests were passed in May 2017. The car runs and shifts perfectly, handling is still spot-on. AC blows cold and everything works.
