1984 Mazda Rx7 GSL-SE GSLSE Silver/Red Original Unrestored Condition | | 1984 Rx7 GSL-SE, 95k original miles, Silver with Red Interior. Relisting my car due to image hosting issues first time around. Thanks for the interest everyone, Happy Bidding! The GSL-SE Rx7 is the top of the line version of this car, available in 1984 and 1985 only. These cars sported fuel injected 13B engines with more displacement, upgraded brakes & suspension, and larger 14 inch wheels. (13 inch normally) I bought this car in 2010 locally in southwest Ohio, however the previous owner reported the car was from Florida and the history reporting here on ebay confirms. The car is very solid, fires every time and runs perfect. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere right now. There are a few small bumps and bruises but per the photos, the car shows extremely strong at 5 feet. This is a driver condition car and it's driven very often in good weather, stored in a heated garage otherwise. Lots of questions, comments and compliments on the car, especially from the younger crowd. Everything on the car functions as it should except the A/C. I can report the A/C has been converted to R134a and does work, but the compressor leaks badly and needs rebuilt or replaced. Fan belt is off as a result, new belt included with car. All other equipment works: - AM/FM Cassette Radio with Equilizer (Aux Input added for modern media)
- Power Windows
- Power Brakes
- Cruise Control
- Hidden Headlights
- Courtesy Ignition Light
- Clock
- RPM Warning Buzzer
- Lights reminder buzzer
The car has gotten a lot of love over the last 7 years. Here is a list of what I can remember: - New full exhaust system (Racing Beat & Stock components, all new items)
- Restored both bumpers
- Restored all 4 wheels
- New BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised letter tires
- Restored all black exterior window trim
- New door seals
- New pinstriping
- New slave cylinder
- Full tune up (Plugs, wires, cap & rotor, coils)
- New belts (A/C included but not installed)
- New air & fuel filters
- Black-face FC radio with Aux input
- New radio antenna
- New dome light lense
- New wipers front and back (not sure why....)
- New brakes all around
- Brake Fluid flush
- Bed Sheet car cover
- Oil change < 100 miles ago
There have been a few changes from stock, but only because stock parts aren't available: The air-pump has been removed and a blanking plate installed. A double belt alternator pulley was installed with two belts to prevent fan slippage and overheating. Very common change when the air pump is deleted, absolutely works perfectly. I removed the home-made exhaust that came on the car when I purchased it and a Racing Beat GSL-SE header and pre-silencer were fitted up front, with new stock exhaust the rest of the way. (Couldn't find stock parts for the first half, NLA for many years unfortunately) The original radio was DOA when I purchased the car. Fitted is a Rx7 FC black-faced radio. Aux input added to tape deck circuit. The original date stamped GSL-SE wheels have been painted gloss black with polished lips. New BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires were fitted, staggered sized rubber. The fronts are NLA from BFGoodrich and were the last two new units known to exist. I did lots of searching and calling to locate these as raised letters look great on these cars. (Although I'd put raised letters on the mini van if I could..) One spot of rust in the hatch window well as shown in pics. I recently added another car to my collection and space is tight so I'm putting this one up for sale. I'm happy to help coordinate logistics with your shipper. Car comes with clean Ohio title, New A/C belt (not installed), cover I made for it, replacement carpet for the hatch area (correct color, but needs cut and fit), two keys, no manuals. If it doesn't sell over reserve, I'll happily to keep it. | | | Please feel free to contact me with any questions. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Please feel free to contact me with any questions. | | |
