Description of 1984 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

1984 500 SL Euro Mercedes Benz Roadster

240 HP 5 liter V8 engine with 4 speed automatic transmission

Garage kept its whole life, riginal Paint, bsolutely NO RUST

164K miles, old Air, ower windows, nti-lock brakes, oft and hard tops

Original Becker AM/FM cassette stereo system, ith power antenna

RARE "gray"market R107 SL with mostly desired "short"euro bumpers.

There were only 1796 of the 500SL brought in from Germany. All the manuals are in German

Original 14 inch alloy wheels. The trunk is complete with spare (it looks as if it has never touched the ground) and jacking equipment.

I have padded & portable convertible top stand included and it comes with the original first aid kit.

There is some cracking on the shifter plate (see pic) and someone painted the spoiler on the back and its cracking as well (see pic)....but it's an easy fix. Other than those two items the car is excellent.

FYI...the 500 SL is recorded as being the fastest production 107 produced (mostly because of the lack of emission restraints) The 500 SL was the predecessor 560 SL which had a bigger motor but the 500 SL had no emissions "stuff" . The 500 SL published by Mercedes-Benz as having 0-60mph times of 7.4 seconds for a top speed of 225km/h (140mph). Torque for the 500 SL is 296lb·ft at 3200 rpm

This is an immaculate car for its age. Runs perfect, un to drive

Many of the bidders have asked for pics of the drain holes in the trunk and spare tire area....they are now attached. I also took some under body pics of the suspension and other under body parts to try and show there is NO rust in the floor pans or body panels. As you can see there is some surface rust in the bottom of the spare tire area only.

This car has been in the garage at least for the past 10 years and only drove on weekends. This is a nice car...well worth the asking price
