Today i am selling my 1983 Mercedes 300D . We fell in love with it last year and bought it from the second owner . It was finished in this gorgeous "midnight blue" MB color code 904 with Palominocolor MB-Tex interior . Thecar was painted some years ago and the paint and the body look fantastic . We get compliment, henever we drive it . There are no dings or dents and the paint still shines like on a much newer car . This car was mostly garaged and it shows . The seats and the whole interior are still in very nice conditio, s the many pictures will show . The carpets are clean and even the wood accents are still in good shape . Thedashboard has just a couple of very small hairline cracks in it and is still very presentable . The original radio has been replaced with a newer unit featuring a CD-player and it works great . Even though this 300D looks amazing for an 32 year old ca, t drives even better . It has been maintained very wel, lways starts up right awa, as great power and shifts smooth . After we bought i, e had it fully service, ew drive-shaft axles and a hood pad installed and our mechanic gave us a clean Bill of health . This 300D only has 177k miles on it and it should last the new owner for many more years to come . There are several classic Mercedes on Ebay right now with the same engine and over 500k miles on it still driving well . This was one of Mercedes most successful car and there are many still on the road . Parts are readily available and without all the electronics and computers not too expensive . The passenger side rear window sometimes does not want to go down and then it works again . I think it might just be the switc, ut we never had it checked . This will be the perfect classic car for somebody who likes to drive a lot . These cars are known to be extremely reliable and economical . On a recent trip up north i got a constant 27 miles per gallon of diesel while cruising at 85 MPH .I would prefer to sell this car to somebody loca, ho could actually come by and see it / test drive it . But i would also be willing to help assist any out of town buyers with a airport pick up or shipping arrangements . Please have your funding in order and do all your " duediligence BEFORE placing a bid . This is a wonderful 32 year old car in great condition and as such it will sold WITHOUT a warranty " as is " and " where is " .
