This well kept SL has low low miles. only 99. 35 since the day it was purchased. Over the years the Mercedes has been mechanically serviced regularly and always stored indoors. The car really is a pleasure to drive. and with the top down its a classic headturner. The Mercedes comes with two tops. the Soft Top is in great shape and the Hard Top is in exceptional condition as well. This ownership history is amazing!!!! The Tool Kit. Jack. Spare tire. Tool for top removal and every Manual and MB Booklet that came with the car is all there. including a tag on how the speed control works. that hung on the signal light lever from factory. Not to belabor the classic story of a 80 year old gentleman who owned a car being sold. this is not an exaggeration and while he is only 79 he is very active and has pampered this Benz for much of its life. He has put only 8. 00 miles on it in the last 10 years. thats 800 miles a year. to do the math. He actually stated that he and his wife used it to go out for breakfast on Sundays with the top down. He meticulously maintained it both mechanically and cosmetically. He has a OEM set of door edge guards in the trunk. but didnt like the look so saved them just in case. wow. great car. exceptional value. and Selling NO Reserve!!!!! He has never painted the car since he has owned it and we looked it over very carefully for evidence of a repaint as its almost too nice to be original. We spent 30 minutes with 3 people including a painter and finally agree it probably had been painted but a long time back and it was very well done professionally. The Pinstripe down the side of the car is painted on as done at the factory. There is no evidence of any previous damage. collision. repairs and this is in agreement with the Carfax. The Body Panels are deadly straight and all the gaps on the car are impeccable. The Exterior Trim is all in place and in good shape. of course to be picky the bumpers do show some surface haze and polish marks and the odd piece of stainless has a minor ding but nothing substantial. The Wheels are all in great shape and not all scuffed up by someone who cant parallel park. The Exterior Glass is all in great condition and the Power Windows work as they should. The Soft Convertible top is really really nice. no tears or wear to speak of. we do not know if its original but expect it is. The Hardtop is equally as nice. all the trim on it just beautiful and look at the underside in the photos. Mechanically it drives our beautifully. solid and quiet ride. responsive. and handles great. All the gauges work as they should. Clock does not work. No warning or engine dash lights on whatsoever. At 90 degree temperature as it is here now. it runs nice and cool. The AC will need to be serviced as he said when he took it out this Spring it was blowing cold air weakly. so a charge is needed. The Interior is equally as nice as the rest of the car. The dash and gauges all look great. The Seats and door panels have no tears or rips. The Drivers Seat and Center Arm rest show some wear on the leather . creasing. as they do and as one would expect as it took the bulk of the wear. Also on the left side of the drivers seat. the trim covering the seat hinge is missing. he had not noticed. The Wood trim shows no cracking and is in great shape. It has an after market Sony stereo. Overall this is a real little Gem and these are getting harder to find in this type of condition and sold in the dry state of California.
