Description of 1982 Mercedes-Benz Other SL 380

Introduced in the Spring of 1971, he all new Mercedes-Benz SL or codename R107 was introduced as a personal luxury sports car. Nicknamedder Panzerwagen“Armored Car” weighing in at more than 3,400 pounds was a completely new body shape for model year 1972. A completely new SOHC 4.5 litre V8 engine was housed underneath the long sculpted hood and mated to a 3-Speed automatic transmission. 1981 model year saw the launch of the 380SL model, hich introduced the new aluminum 3.8 litre V8 engine. It was much lighter and more efficient but still retained its predecessor’s excellent performance characteristics. With more luxury refinements and driver comforts, he 380SL became the must have luxury performance roadster. However which way the driver chose to drive the car, ardtop, oft top or top down, he SL was the epitome of classic luxury sports motoring.

European Motor Studio is proud to offer this exceptional 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380SL Roadster finished in a stunning shade of Signal Red with Palomino leather interior. This beautiful SL left the Mercedes-Benz production in September of 1981 and invoiced to Mercedes-Benz North America. The car arrived at Don Rasmussen CO in Portland OR and went through its pre-delivery inspection on November 19, 981 and was then sold to its first owner. The car lived in Oregon with its first owner until 2005 when the car sold to its second owner and moved to TN. Having covered just 31,690 miles from new, his SL has always been properly cared for and maintained by Mercedes specialists and is documented by the Mercedes-Benz service book, eceipts and the Carfax. The Signal red paint is stunning; it shows an excellent shine and deep luster. There are no flaws in the original paint except for one small scratch in the passenger door that has been touched up. The original interior is stunning; the leather is still very soft and shows almost no wear on the seats. The original dash is in beautiful condition and completely free from any damage or cracks. All of the wood, witch gear and rubber are all in outstanding condition and free from any damage. The original Black convertible soft top is the original Mercedes-Benz top and in excellent condition showing almost no signs of wear. The engine starts right up and idles beautifully and there is no smoke on start up or acceleration. The transmission shifts into gear without any issues and shifts through all of the gears with ease. The steering and suspension is nice and tight and free from any drifting or noises. The brakes have an excellent responsive feel and have no signs of fade. All of the electronics in the car work as designed including all of the lights, he AC, he heater, he windows and locks and the cruise control. The car has newer tires with above 80% tread life left and the car has had the double row timing chain completed. Accompanying the car with the sale are the original Mercedes-Benz books, he service books, adio books, riginal tire booklets, ool roll, irst aid kit, riginal spare with original tag and tire and the original jack and Huff keys. Receipts and documentation come with the car as well. The car has a clean Carfax and has no signs of any accident damage or history. There is absolutely no rust of any kind on the car and wears its original paint all around.
