Description of 1960 Mercedes-Benz 190-Series 190d

Runs, rives and is easy starting. Four on the column manual shifts smooth. Gets 40MPG! Black Mercedes 190D was repainted about 15 years ago black is not its original color. Original color was a seafoam green according to previous owner. Aside from the radio the interior is all original. Seats are in fantastic shape no tears no cracking. The headliner is in good shape but it is coming loose in a few spots and needs to be glued back up. Temp gauge, lectric gauge and speedometer all work. Wood on the dash is in decent shape but needs to be refurbished. There is some minor cracking on the dash. I replaced a blown head gasket with an original head gasket straight from Germany and have a really cool wood box it came in I will send with the car. When the head gasket was replaced the cylinder wall still had hone marks. The odometer says 53,531 whether or not that is accurate I have no idea. The engine is in excellent condition from what I could see when replacing the head gasket. There are also new wheel cylinders in the front wheels at a cost of $500 for parts alone. Front brake pads are in good shape the car stops pretty good because it only weighs about 2,500 pounds. Glow plugs work great. Injectors were serviced, uel tank was drained, njection pump serviced. I replaced all of the rubber hoses. Has original heater cores on both sides is missing some of the original tubing which extends toward the front of the car. The original jack and spare tire are still in the car. Brand new heavy duty battery included. Could use new shocks. There is rust in the rear trunk... in a few spots at the bottom of the wheel well it goes all the way through and is about the size of a finger. The front and rear boards are solid I'm not sure why the trunk base got the majority of it. I did notice the car did have an undercoat and the spot on the trunk that rusted through doesn't have any undercoating where it rusted through. Window seals could stand to be replaced although they still keep moisture out. There are dents and dings on the body the largest is on the driver's side quarter panel is shallow and about 6 inches long(pic included). There looks to have been some repair work done on the hood in a small area. Rear driver side bumper is dented I have been told it can be repaired but might be spendy.
I love driving this car. Its design is timeless beautiful and appreciated by generally everyone. I have met a lot of cool people and have had many interesting conversations with people who generally wouldn't take the time to stop going about their busy day. If you have questions or need more pics of anything in particular please let me know and I will help you out.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention this car was used in a TV series called the " Man in The Hightower" on Amazon Prime!
