Unrestored but well maintained original California SL with very low mileage.Part of the first group sent to dealers in 1971 as a 1972 model, 143. Perfect condition 2-tone original interior, o cracks in the original dash. A great classic car to own as it handles modern traffic and has shoulder seat belts. Engine runs perfect with no oil leaks.Over the last 6-7 years of ownership, have performed the following:- upgraded the rubber seals for the entire car
- replaced the starter
- installed new fuel pump/filter
- installed custom color matched shoulder belts replacing previous black
- replaced tires due to age/cracking
- installed new rotors, ads and calipers front and rear
- replaced shocks, nd other suspension components/bushings
- installed new steering rack and other steering components to improve handling
- performed some light maintenance on the heating system and the electrical connections to the fuel injectors
Car has proper center console with attached carpet panels. No rust anywhere. Convertible top fits perfect. Minor paint imperfections, ut chrome parts in great condition for its age. Has factory A/C but not connected currently. Also, as hard top with rear defrost. Great color combination that turns heads everywhere it goes. I have original Becker radio that works, nd original owners manuals. (see pics)Car drives perfect, mooth with great handling.
