Introduction The Mercedes-Benz 240 Diesel is a 4 door saloon (sedan) style car styled by Friedrich Geiger with a front mounted engine powering the rear wheels. The 240 D forms part of Mercedes-Benz's W 123 family of cars. Its 2.4 litre engine is a naturally aspirated, ingle overhead camshaft, cylinder. The engine delivers its power through to the wheels via a 4 speed manual transmission. Story Of The Car I believe I am the third owner of this classic car. I do not possess any records of the original owner but who sold it to me. I reside in California, unny San Diego and the car by any means has a California Clear Title. The gentleman that owned the car before me is a professional pilot which made me morecomfortable buying this vehicle knowing how meticulous pilots are. About The Car Pros This great car has a 2.4 Liter Naturally Aspirated diesel engine with a 4 manual transmission (plus reverse).Manual models are becoming more rare to be found. It has a sunroof that work smoothly. Transmission and engine are solid and very strong. Theinteriors are in good shape for the age of the car. Paint is the original which could use a re waxing. All original parts, othing modded. About The Car Cons The front right side of the car has been modified by a "Hit and Run" kind of guy, othing that a body shop could not easily fix. The front right vent grid is missing, t flew away during a ride in the freeway. The front left seat isslightly soggy on the left side. The fuel gauge level works at hisdiscretion, hich is a Very common problem with this car. It would light up however when you reach Reserve. The handle to open the hood is broken. The cable is now connected to a curved jaw locking pliers.Air condition currently not working. Why Am I Selling I am recently starting a new business which will require abigger vehicle to transport food in a refrigerated and safeenvironment. Final Thoughts I originally bought this car with the intention of restoring it but I never got that far. I love how this car drives and how it feels. It has an amazing power and great handling capabilities.No, t does not have bluetooth, M radio, lectric windows, eated seats, ouch screen, iri, ris or whatever you expect from a newer car, xcept that IT HAS A SOUL, nd that it it will get you further for less money than your newer car.
