Description of 1987 Mercedes-Benz 400-Series |
Please read the entire content of this description. I've had this car for several years. it was actually my daily driver for a while in Texas. Took it in for a safety inspection two years ago. had nearly $1k of work done to it and now it just dies when it's driven. Motor and body strong. just dies for no reason. I'm told this is typical of Mercedes cars of this vintage? Needs windshield wipers to park properly to pass inspection. Oh yeah. the electrical problem that causes it to just die. probably needs to be addressed before it can pass inspection as well. I love this car. but my step son needs the driveway space to park his car during the winter months. Please don't ask me why I think the car dies. if I knew I'd have addressed the issue. Was planning on totally restoring this in the future. but again I need the driveway space this winter. |
