Description of 1973 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

Titled as a 1973 280SEL 4.5. I bought the car in 2003 it is a great driving car in original good condition. The body has little rust. Some small defects are on the outside are a few small door dings on the lower part of the passenger front door and on the trim etc. There are a few rock chips that have need to be touched up. The chrome is in good condition as are the bumpers. The interior carpet and seats are free of tears and show some wear but are still soft. The alpine radio works as do the lights and all the gauges. The heater and air controls all function. It is a very comfortable ride. The wood on the dash is intact but could be reworked. The sun visors are not cracked and the sun roof works without any problems. The engine is clean and runs very well I drove it some last year and it is a pleasure to drive. The trunk is clean and complete with what may be an original spare tire, ools and includes books and manuals.

I have replaced the fuel injectors, t has a new MPV value, ew Fuel Pressure Regulator and Fuel Pressure Damper. Last year I replaced the cold start valve, lectronic Control Unit (ECU), ntake Air Temperature Sensor, oltage Regulator, nd several electric relays replaced. The brake master cylinder and right front brake caliper are new. The other brake calipers have had new kits installed. It has a clear title no smog required. If you are looking for a really solid vintage Mercedes that is ready to drive anywhere this is your car. This car has been stored in a garage since I have owned it quite a few 280's that remain today have rust issues. This car would be a great candidate for a first restoration project or for simply someone who would enjoy driving it as is. I would be keeping it if I still drove it on a regular basis and I am selling my storage garage/ shop and I just won't have the garage space.
