1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Coupe, (111 Body High Grille) Classic elegance, these were the last of the hand-built Mercedes big body coupes. Only 13 cars per week rolled off the production line in these years, with fewer than 3,800 cars produced worldwide between 1968-1971. This car sold new in January of 1970 to “Hoot” Williams, partner in Nowak & Williams Supply Co in Fort Wayne, Indiana. One of the most desirable Business Coupes of it’s time, this car was meticulously maintained by “Hoot” and it’s successor owners since. Gorgeous combination in Dark Green with Cognac Leather. A very original example, solid undercarriage, no rust issues. Paint, Body and Interior in Beautiful condition for it’s age. Fantastic drive, mechanically very well cared for. Being mostly original, headliner ready for some attention, and minor wood refinish on a couple of trim pieces, molding replacement, items typical for it’s age. Odometer exempt, miles shown over 99999, Truly a beautiful car, still has it’s original Owners Manual, Service Book with stamps, original Kardex. Came to us from the collection of an elderly Mercedes-Benz enthusiast. We know you will cherish as much as he did !
