Description of 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

This is a 1978 Mercedes Benz 300D Diesel Automatic Sedan. I was build in 1978 and is a 1979 according to the title. Parts for if are for a 1978. It starts right up and runs very good. It starts in cold weather easily using the glow plugs properly. The power windows work and most everything in the car works. A few of the push buttons are sticky and need to be manipulated sometimes. It gets very good fuel economy and it is a joy to drive. You can really understand the quality of a Mercedes when drive this car. I love the diesel version. I also have this car in a gas model but I like this one better. The air conditioner belt was off the compressor when I purchased the car and I have never checked it . I am selling it to start and drive and have a good motor and transmission. I have driven it several hundred miles at a time and it has never given me a problem. I would trust it to drive 500 or so miles with no hesitation. It is a good car but it is an old car. It does not leave any leaks in my drive way and it always starts. I'm looking to sell it and I know it is a fair price. It has no rust that I can see and it is very solid. The windshield is cracked.
