1967 Mercedes Benz L319 Utility Truck Project Rebuilt MotorNew PaintNew Gaskets (not installed)Rebuilt BrakesFrame off for RestorationNew TiresUpholstery Work Done PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE 50 IMAGES OF THE TRUCK DURING ITS RESTORATION AND SOME THE PARTS INCLUDED This rare Benz Truck was imported from France (by a dealer) and sold to a gentleman in Chicago whospent quite some time restoring it before losinginterest. It came with a rusty parts car, which has since been parted out. The spare truck supplied plenty of good donor parts for the restoration. All the paint work, with the exception of the front bumper, has been done. The original diesel motor wascompletely overhauled during the frame off restoration carried out by the previous owner. The wiring harness was carefully removed, cleaned / repaired andreinstalled. All partsthatweren't painted were powder coated including the wheels andfuel tank (restored and cleaned internally). Theupholsterywork is nicely done. I wouldrecommend getting some floor mats cut to fit inside the cabin. Anexhaustsystem was alreadymade up for the truck and is includedwith the sale as well. There are 4 large bins of spare parts included with the truck that are not pictured. I have a nice little stack of service records showing all mechanical work to the car. Includedwith the car are some owners booklets as well as a CD from the previous owner showing the various stages of restoration. I had planned to install a bed on the rear end using old weathered barn wood. Ithought that would look neat. This truck is another vehicle on my long list of projects I know I will not get to. Its also taking upprecious space, which is irritating me. I would like to see it finished and in a good home. What is left to do:Install glass (new gaskets are included with the truck)Hookup brakesInstall motor hoses, some misc. plumbing (already in place and mounted)Hookup pedals and associated linkageHookup shift linkageFinish hooking up instrumentsRestore front bumperClean/Restore and Install TrimInstall 2nd set of wheels and tires onto Dually Rear AxleInstall Brake Lights and Sidemarker lightsInstall Air filter and Heater BoxInstall SpeedoInstall exhaustInstall a flat bed on the rearInstall sound deadening pad on the cabin ceiling Known Issues:1. The german company I boughtthe glass gaskets from did not have the small vent window gaskets in stock at the time of ordering, those will need to be purchased.2. Two more tires will need to be purchased for the rear wheels, so you can install the 2nd set for the dually3. The paint job is very nice, but not perfect. There are few small nicks in the paint from being moved around.4. The brake booster in thepictures wassomething the previous owner was considering installing on the truck in order to supply some brake assist. It is period correct and some 319's were ordered with these ATE-T50 boosters. PLEASE NOTE: The brakes and steering are not hooked up so a flat bed tow truck will be required to move this truck onto a larger car hauler for transport. The truck is not too heavy so its fairly easy to manually steering the tires in order to guide it. Tow truck and transport are the responsibility of the buyer. I can helpcoordinate. I have a mountain of NOS parts for these o319 / L319 buses and trucks. I also have many good used parts for them as well. If the buyer isinterested in buying spare parts, purchase can be arranged. Please feel free to ask any question you may have. I have no problem discussing the car via phone. If you are serious, feel free to email me and I can supply my cell number. If more pictures are needed, just ask. Please only bid if you intend to pay. Payment is due within 3 business days of sale. Payment via bank wire or cashiers check only. Deposit of 500 dollars is due via paypal within 24 hours of sale. I have a clear title in hand. |
