Description of 1984 Mercedes-Benz 190-Series 190D |
Have you ever wanted to own a piece of history? Of course you have, and now is your opportunity! It has come time to sell my vintage Mercedes. You will be the envy of all your friends as you cruise down the motorway in this 1984 Mercedes 190D. For you newbies, that “D” stands for diesel. Don’t worry, it doesn’t smoke as much as your Aunt Edna. In fact, it has a NEW ENGINE and doesn’t smoke at all. But the tires do! They’re new and can burn rubber with the best of them. And when you’re close to rear-ending that car in front of you that you didn’t see (because you’re too cool to worry about your surroundings), the newer brakes will having you stopping and nursing your whiplash in no time. With the moonroof open and your hair flowing like the goddess you are, your Bluetooth speaker will be blaring your favorite Pandora station. You didn’t think the original radio works on a car made in the 80’s, did you? The air conditioning doesn’t work either, so you’ll need that moonroof. So go on and cruise around town with your bad self in first gear, because you won’t be getting on the highway with this baby, unless you want to go in reverse. There is something wrong with the transmission, but don’t ask me what. I’m not a mechanic. Though I am told it’s just a vacuum leak. It did just pass inspection in Missouri in September. This car sold for $23,510 in 1984, back when you were still listening to Van Halen and manicuring your mullet. Or, you know, not even born yet. While the current low value is $3,350, I’m letting this gem go for $1,850. Or give me your best offer without offending my old girl.
