Description of 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series sw

This is our family car. delivered to us late 1989 in Stuttgart Germany under the driver delivery program and has this emblem in the grill. it has been in the Carolinas as a summer home car and used 3-6 months a year on the average and well garaged the rest of time. the car was used mostly to get to golf course and was associated with tournaments (see plates). the mechanic who serviced the car most of the time can be contacted to ascertain its care. about one year ago he mentioned items he wanted to fix ($1500+/-) I believe the most pressing issue is timing cover oil seep. the car was shipped to Conroe. Texas Feb. 2014 and has never oiled the ground but you can see the slow seep. other defects are 2 small cracks in plastic light covers right rear stop lamp and left front parking. left front tiny wiper needs new rubber. biggest scratch is on top r. r. wheel well. you can see it in picture. hood has 5mm pit but demonstrates quality depth layers of superior paint of mb. only when you get close to car can you see slight stains and blemishes- spotting from trees and or birds. right passenger door was fixed from accident 14 years ago. speakers need rewiring. other than these defects the car looks 3-5 years old and is in very good condition for being 25 years old; because of the care received. the car has only had 170 miles added since last feb. to get an idea of usage. the ashtrays have never been used. the sunroof barely. 3rd row seats have been used no more than 3 times. spare tire is factory German. interior 95% all- rubber re windows and seals intact and tight . no cracks- rotting. doors close nice. rear hatch has electric closing mechanism. power headrests. memory electric seats. car groans when parking brake is released. otherwise cranks quick. runs nice. muffler purrs. hugs and corners like new car. when driven you hear no squeals. vibrations. humming or noises associated with a used car. has 4 keys. 2 copies + rearm + security key. ) has service records and manuals and associated papers re purchase and shipping. there is no room here to extoll the virtues of this type of MB. enough is said to quote president of mb when this one model was produced "that this car is the most over engineered mb ever made" made to last- there are many in Germany with 300. 00-400. 00km still running. this is a used car sold as is.
