Description of 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series |
Very clean and well preserved 5 passenger wagon. This car has the original bio-degradable engine wiring harness which is deteriorating and needs to be replaced at this point. The car can run perfectly for weeks, but then without warning the car can go into a limp mode with multiple dash lights coming on. Restarting will clear the condition temporarily, but it will inevitably recur. The car presents itself like a 50,000 vehicle. The Spruce Green paint appears to be entirely original, showing only one noticeable flaw on the Left Rear Door and some scuffs on the lower front bumper cover. There is no rust on the body whatsoever. The interior is equally presentable. The only flaw is that the covering is beginning to shrink on a portion of the console. In addition to the Leather Seat Option. this car also has heated seats and the uncommon Orthopedic Seat option on both sides. it is also equipped with ASR (Traction Control) which may be uncommon as well. The car was in the hands of the original owner through 5/2014 and myself, the second owner for 2+ years. There are extensive maintenance and service records referenced in the Maintenance Booklet, More recent services include a new radiator, middle mufflers and a new fan clutch. Aside from the wiring harness issue referenced above, the only other issue is that the power antenna does not retract automatically. The antenna motor runs, but the plastic cable must be broken.
