Description of 1972 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 280SE |
1972 Mercedes-Benz 280SE W108 4.5 Liter. This car is in very good condition. The paint is original and given the car is 45 years old I give the paint an 8 out of 10. It is very shiny and clean, there are no scratches or rust spots. The color is Papyrus white. The chrome is excellent. The interior is excellent with no tears or rips on the seats, the headliner is perfect the carpet is excellent. The wood trim around the windows is excellent, however the wood trim around the front, the varnish is cracked (see picture). All the windows work properly. The dash is perfect with no cracks. The rear bumper has a dent (see picture). Also the passenger side rear trim is loose (see picture). The radio was gone through by Becker and sounds great. The steering wheel is excellent with no cracks. The engine is strong and transmission shifts are normal. Owners manual and original tool kit included. The following are parts and maintenance I have done. All filters changed New plugs and plug wires (Beru brand) New combination switch (blinker stalk, original will be included) New Bilstein steering damper New Bilstein shocks (4) New rotors and pads all around, new seals in calipers New fuel pressure regulator All belts changed Ignition converted to pointless Pertronix (original parts will be included) What should be done. Tires are ok, but should be replaced Rear muffler needs replacing |
