This is a very rare and unique car. I could not find a comparable one on the internet. It is, according to Wikipedia also referred to as the W111." Externally the W112 displayed substantially morechromeand had bigger 14"wheels. Luxury features such aspower steering, air suspension, andautomatic transmissionwere standard (though a manual transmission would return as an option). The car cost almost twice the price of the top range W111 220SE. This car was originally made and purchased in Germany and then shipped to the US. I believe I am only the third owner. I have had it for about 30 years. It runs, I drove it 100 miles to have it detailed 3 weeks ago. It is just the car for someone who enjoys restoring old and unique cars. Mileage is unknown as I had to replace the engine with a used one one year after I bought it. The engine came from a convertible burned in a garage fire in Bellingham Wash. It was installed by Benz Friends of Seattle. I have looked over the car & only found two small rust spots shown in the photos.Any questions are welcome. Please email me atmyronamity@yahoo.com.
