This estate car was in dry storage since 1993 until it was brought back to life in January 2015. The engine fired right up. Original with 43,000 miles and in the family since it was bought new-it was my wife’s uncle’s vehicle. The interior is excellent shape and has had just one wipe down and saddle soaping since we pulled the car out of the garage. I had a Mercedes restoration garage replace all belts, hoses, brakes, complete exhaust system, rear suspension system, electronic ignition, change all fluids including a complete flushing of the fuel system and tank. I also had new tires mounted on the popular “bundt” wheels. This 280SE has the rare 6-cylinder fuel-injected reliable engine and a high quality repaint in the original Mercedes gray. Everything works except the clock-all lights, wipers, horn, power windows, signals, gauges and air conditioning. We’ve driven it on numerous trips and it runs and shifts smoothly and is a terrifically comfortable car on any roadway. Very minor leak on tranny pan-mechanic says it's too small to bother replacing the gasket.Over $16,000 invested. Extra parts include a front bumper, both front fenders, original hubcaps and four steel wheels. Not a museum piece but a great looking car that gets attention wherever we take it. We love the car but are going to get a convertible again. The 280SE is located just south of Cincinnati. Call or text Dave at 859-444-0995.
