Description of 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

I picked up this Mercedes 380SL from an estate sale. It seems to be all original and overall very good shape. The owner was a collector of classic cars. The car is 33 years old and I'll describe all the good and bad the best I can. It fires right up and sounds good. It runs and drives very well....transmission shifts smoothly. It looks like the muffler and fuel filter have been recently replaced. The body and paint are in very good condition considering its age...some minor scratches here and there....and there is some spotting on the trunk lid and a few under the paint bubbling right by the trunk lid emblem. I took some close up pics of that. The interior/leather is in very good condition. The AC works and blows cold. The power antenna, radio and interior/exterior lights all work. The side passenger mirror switch and door locks do not seem to work. The dash gauges all work except the dash clock. Now the one thing also is the odometer/trip does seem to be working.....it stopped at 118,740. I asked the family about this and said it stopped a few years ago...he never got around to fixing it but he also at that time did not drive the cars that much anymore...so realistically it should have maybe 130-150k miles on it they said. The under carriage is pretty clean...it does not leak anything on the driveway but I do notice a little oil residue on the oil pan. It has an after market alarm system on it. It comes with a new spare chrome rim. It has a clean Nevada title. If you have any questions or want more pics feel free to ask. Buyer to pay a $300 deposit within 48 hours of auction end.
