I am the third owner of this vintage Mercedes. It has been well maintained and seldom driven in the winter, so the body is much more solid than most unrestored cars from the 1970's. I bought it out of the garage where it had been stored for 12 years, and started once each year, but not driven. Many new parts were installed to get it back on the road, including: Rear brake calipers and pads, exhaust system, seat padding, steering drag link and damper, rubber differential mount, belts and hoses, and more. The engine starts and runs great. It drives straight down the road. At 30 miles per gallon it would make a good daily driver, or it could be further restored. Some imperfections behind the front wheel wells are shown in the photos. Paint on the hood and trunk show a pattern of tiny cracks or alligatoring that are purely cosmetic. I haven't tried to get the factory air conditioning working. The Mercedes quality has held up well over the years. I've been driving it all summer without any problems. And, best of all, it doesn't have any computers. You can see the car and buy it here in southern Michigan. Local pickup only.
