The Mercedes 220S Coupe was introduced in October 1956.

3,429 Cabriolets and Coupes were built. Not many rust free and well preserved examples survived. Here is one of them.

The car was born in 040 black and completely restored by the previous owner.

He owned it for it for 40 years and always kept it very well maintained.

Even though the paint was done over 10 years ago it still shows fantastic.

The chrome is shining like new and the rubber has been replaced all around.

White wall tires are also fairly new.

It also bears the yellow with black CA license plates.

The complete interior including the wood was also redone.

With all of the correct equipment like radio and clock in place it is just stunning.

The engine sounds unbelievable and idles so smooth that you think it is not even running.

Transmission shifts extremely well through all gears and the brakes are fantastic as well.

Many records are present including a photo booklet documenting the restoration and an original CA title also called pink slip dating back to 1975.

This car was just serviced and is ready to be enjoyed.
