Description of 1977 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

  • This is a relist due to a nonpaying bidder. Please read entire listing before bidding.

    • 1977 Mercedes Benz 450 SL. This classic is registeredand insured, she runs and drives fine . The interior is presentable, the carpets are good, but could use replacing atsome point. (they are 40 year old). The Canvas top is surprisingly in very good shape with no trips or tears. The plastic window are a bit foggy, but not too bad (see photos
The body and paint are not to bad, but a few spots will need some attention, including paint peeling a bit on roof and right rearfender. The previous owner attempted to do the work, but as you can see from the photos, not the finest work. ( please zoom in on the photos provided)These classics are getting harder and harder to come by. But the most importantthing is that this one is a driver, you can enjoy it while you take your time bringing her back to her originalglory. I am only selling her because I lost my storage space, and would hate to have her sit outside all winter. So I am hopeful this old beauty finds a good home.
The replacementodometerreads 180,000, it was installedwhen the original one went bad. Engine has 111.000 miles. Mileageis consistentwith all paper work. Will include cars original cluster as well, if you want to have it repaired. I have priced it to sell, serious bidders, if you are not serious about owning a vintage car, please do not bid. I have tried to describe, and show any and all issues to the best of my ability. But please feel free to ask any and all questions before bidding and I will try and answer them.
Please read...The time to ask questions and inspect the car is before you placea bid to buy, not after the bidding has ended . If you have enteredin a winning bidyou have entered in a binding agreement to buy the item. There are fees associatedwith selling on Ebay, and so by not fallowing through with transactionthe seller has to open a claim for a final value credit due to non paying bidders. And so with that said if you are not familiar with the concept of an auction bid/sale, please do not bid. A $500.00 deposit is required within 48 hours of auction close, and balance due within 7 days of end of auction.
Buyer responsible for local pick up, and any shipping cost. No International shipping. Thanks for taking the time toview my listing,GoodLuck.. Please note: chock on the wheel in the one photo is as a precaution my driveway is on a hill. The trans and emergency breakwork properly. DON'T MISS OUT, BID EARLY and secure your chance to take this beauty home. Car being offered locally, I reserve the right to end auction early.
