Description of 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series |
People familiar with the Phoenix market for W123 cars regularly tell me this car is, by far, the best one on the road. It has been my “pride and joy” since the day I saw it on the showroom floor at Schumacher European in Scottsdale – I purchased it May 31, 1985. When Wilhelm Hartmann (my Sales Consultant) took me for a test drive, he suggested my car would run best year after year if it was driven “vigorously.” I took his advice, and technicians are consistently impressed with my car’s brisk acceleration. This car is in nearly perfect and very clean condition, and it has always been garaged, so the original paint still looks new. It has an Ivory exterior, Palomino interior (MB-Tex), Sheepskins, Floormats and Interior wood trim and Shift knob. Features include a Turbocharged 5-cylinder diesel engine, Automatic transmission, Power windows, Power door locks, Sunroof, Chrome wheels, and original Becker AM/FM/Cassette Stereo. For the most part, this has been a “daily driver,” and all the periodic service work and repairs have been completed by Mercedes-Benz dealerships or top-rated specialists. The climate control (heating, air conditioning and ventilation) work well, and most drive train and suspension items have been updated/replaced with original Mercedes-Benz parts, including: · Top-End rebuilt at 106,430 miles · Transmission rebuilt at 159,228 (rebuild included all upgrade kits) I wish I could keep this car forever, but we’re moving/downsizing and I can’t bring myself to not park it in a garage. I hope its second owner will enjoy it as much as I have! Please note: This is my first time selling something on eBay. |
