Description of 1994 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series E series

1994 Mercedes Benz E320
Up for auction is a classic and highly revered W124 chassis Mercedes Benz E320. Non-smoker car. This automobile underwent a light cosmetic restoration 4 years ago, and it has been a phenomenally reliable car in the time I have owned it. Its body is straight as an arrow with no accidents, no rust and the paint is original except for the bumpers which were professionally repainted. The car comes with a clean Carfax report, original owner's manuals in their factory leather pouch, and the original tool kit. The top and undersides are exceptionally clean because the car hasn't been driven in the winters over the past 10 years. The interior is black leather with real wood trim. The wool carpets and floor mats are original. The Becker AM/FM cassette is original and works as it should. There are no rips in the leather seats, and the dash is perfect. The engine compartment is also very clean and original. It has a low 153k on the odometer and these cars are known for going well into the 300k's without any problems. It's powered by a 217hp straight six motor that is smooth and quiet. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. There are no engine lights on. The air blows cold and the ABS and TRACTION CONTROL work as they should. The title is free and clear. Bear in mind that this is not a perfect car, but it's not a 10 foot car either. It looks very, very good up close and that says a lot for a black car with original paint!

Known issues:
Sunroof doesn't retract unless you do it from the trunk. Sunroof motor works but panel won't slide back via switch.
Original Hirschfeld Electric antenna motor needs a gear set (can be found on Ebay for under $25.00).
Original key is slightly worn and should be replaced. Car locks and unlocks from trunk lock but not the driver's and passenger doors.
In closing:
This particular make and model is rarely seen in this condition anymore. This is a great example, and I can't say enough about this car. Its build quality is better than most modern cars and these were built when MB still developed and manufactured vehicles where price was no object ("The Best or Nothing"). Here is a chance to own a "Bruno Sacco" MB classic that will only rise in value in due time. I can't think of a better value today in a bullet proof, luxury automobile.
