ENGINE: Mercedes knows how to make a solid diesel engine, powerful and responsive, with the signature diesel torque. Engine starts right up with no effort. Settles into a smooth idle. Throttle response is immediate with no hesitation or misfire at all. TRANSMISSION: Shifts from "Park" to "Drive" to "Reverse" back to "Park" with NO hesitation.
