Description of 1987 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series 560 SL |
| You're looking at 1987 560 SL that is 100% all original inside and out. Only 2 owners history and the second owner had it since 1989 and has a FLORIDA title since then. This car has been carefully garaged for roughly the last 15 years or so due to the owner's extensive travel. The paint is 100% original factory paint and all the stickers that has the vin# are on all panels. doors. hood. and trunk. The exterior is free of any dents or scratches except for the usual ones where the center pin of the rear of the hard top meets the deck lid which have been touched up. The leather interior is also 100% original and was never dyed as you can see in the photo. on the driver's seat there is some scuff marks on the side bolster which I decided not to repair it to preserve the originality of the car. but I could repair it up on request by the winner. The rubber on the front and rear bumpers are in like new condition with no cracks and is completely intact. The floor mats are in decent shape and the original floor carpet is in excellent condition with no stains or holes. The A/C. Radiator. all belts. and shifter grommets been recently replaced and I do have all receipts. The tires were dried out so I replaced them with original new PIRELLI tires as you can see in the pictures. all the original wheels are in perfect condition with no curb rash or damages. I do have the original owner's manuals and the original 2 keys as shown in the photo. The dash board is like new with no cracks. scratches and free of any imperfections. The soft top is the original top and is in excellent condition since it was never used for the last 15 years. The hard top is also in great condition with no scratches as displayed in the photos. The mechanism to release and close the top is in perfect working condition and the seals for the front pins been replaced. The car runs very strong with absolutely no mechanical issues. and is very tight with no rattles or squeaks. and the power windows. radio. power antenna. power mirror. head light. high beams. turn signals are all in perfect working order. This car was never smoked in and the ashtray was never used. This car is an ideal piece to add to any collector's garage and will also make a beautiful every day driver and is very reliable; and it is sure to win many contests if you ever decide to show it off.
