Description of 1973 Mercedes-Benz 400-Series

For your consideration a very rare most sought out early production, a 1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC Euro model with its unrestricted and most powerful V8 gas engine with automatic transmission. It was imported from Germany by the original owner I was told. Very nice condition for its age. Very sleek looking with its Euro headlights, with rear seats. Euro bumpers and adding to it, Vintage Hub Caps...that came with the car. It gives it a very distinguished look from its counterparts. same color as the car. Also, 4 nice alloy wheels available.
Car runs, drives, shifts and handles extremely well and can be driven anywhere on a moment's notice ! The car is all original and garage kept.
Exterior is very nice as you can see from the photos with all glass and molding in pretty good condition...it is neither perfect nor a garage show car..but if you want to drive this classic rare Mercedes you will be proud and very comfortable driving experience for a almost 45 year old 450 SLC.
This is a well maintained car throughout, a small fortune of $8000. was spent on it with a ton of expensive hard to find parts available.
What has been replaced, all the belts, all new hoses, new radiator, new injectors, spark plugs, plug wires, heater fan, brakes and rotors, upper and lower tie rods, tie rod ends, upper and lower control arms and bushings, new battery, new front windshield, rear window, heater blower, Bosch manifold pressure sensor, driver and passenger seat new padding, heat works great, all new fuel lines, gas tank, fuel pump, 4 brand new tires, I have all receipts and original owner and service manual.Excellent oil pressure, starts right up first time. Floor is solid. Brand new door thresholds.
These cars are getting hard to find and they just keep increasing in their values.
Little history on this Mercedes...this car sat in a garage for 13 years untouched. It was the owners wife car that he bought for her when he was 52...when she died so did the car left in the garage with memories of her love for this Mercedes. The owner is 96 years still living bought this car for her when he was 52.
My wife and I drive this Mercedes with pride, knowing his wife would be happy knowing it is still running...Thanks to my friend who knew of this car when I was searching for a classic Mercedes 450 SLC coupe.
Oh....just had the recall done at the Mercedes Benz Dealership that was still outstanding since 1995... the tech pulled out of the glove box the service book that has his initial signature of work completed years ago and he remember this car...and could not believe his eyes...Awesome. I would like to sale my Mercedes to a new owner who will continue to take care and maintain the love for this piece of history.
