This is an extremely straight and clean W114 Mercedes 280. It could be a great daily driver as is with just a brake inspection, tune up, and a little bit of TLC. or it would be a good starting place for a complete restoration. Or an incredible parts car. LOW LOW RESERVE. It has the big DOHC 2.8L gasoline six. and bulletproof Mercedes three speed automatic. I started it up yesterday just to make sure, but yes it runs great and fired right up when I put a hot battery in it. Make no mistake though the car has been sitting for almost ten years and before you try to drive it it will need to be carefully gone through, especially (naturally) the brakes. Like all Mercedes it has power everything; brakes, steering, seats, widows etc. The body has no deep rot or rust through that I can find. The interior is in amazingly nice shape, the seat leather is still soft and pliable and has almost zero flaws, and the dash wood is in very nice shape. There is no wreck damage on the car and all the glass is there. All four doors open and close like they should. The car 99% percent complete. There is a missing piece of trim behind the hood in front of the windshield. And the air cleaner is missing it's top, however it has had the carburetor carefully covered since it has sat there. I carefully lubricated the cylinders before I started it. Also the keys are missing right now. I will try and find them but if I don't you will need to purchase a lock set for the vehicle in order to operate it (these are currently available for less then $100). I hot wired it in order to test the engine. It COULD be driven that way.It has a clean title which I will sign over to you when you pick the car up. You will need to make arrangements to either inspect the car and do what is necessary to get it driving or have it shipped. I am happy to work with whatever shipper or mechanic that you work with. As in most of these cases with a vehicle of this age the pictures do most of the talking. Look at it and read this description carefully before bidding. This car is being sold AS IS and WHERE IS. Do not bid unless you are prepared to pay for the vehicle within 48 hours of auction end. And pick it up as early as is convenient (we can work out the pickup details after the auction ends). I expect a postal money order for 25% of the amount of the final bid within 48 hours if auction close. Then the rest upon pickup. Not the paypal payment that eBay makes you say you'll take. I don't have a bank account so mmonney oorder is a must unless I find someone who's PayPal I can use. Feel free to contact me via text message with any questions (505) eight 0 three 98 five 5 Thanks and happy bidding.
