Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTOCARS, is this really lovely original 560 SL. The build date of 12/85 places this car very early in the production lineup/delivery. This car was just purchased from it's second owner (winemaker) in Napa, California where it was originally sold just about an hour away in San Francisco. This car has a very well documented life from new, and is accompanied by a large dossier of service receipts, sales literature, owners handbook, and service voucher booklet.The body and paintwork on this car is excellent and 100% original. There are a few minor dings around the car as shown from just normal use as a transportation car. The original paintwork is stunning and very glossy, showing a beautiful factory color and clearcoat with no thin or fading areas. Panel fit is per factory with doors, hood, and trunk that just click shut. The windshield is perfect and has been replaced at one time. The car's chromework, bumpers, rubber seals, bumper ends are all excellent to superb.This car has lived it's entire life garaged and it clearly shows through the car's cosmetic condition.The interior trim tells the same story here. The dashboard is just about 100% perfect and crack free. The wood grain trim is excellent. The carpets and door panels hardly show any wear. The original leather seats show just the minimal typical color fading to the driver's outside seat bolster. The car still retains it's perfect and original black cloth soft top.Sun visors are superb.The car mechanically is a dream to drive. It starts easily on the key with no noises, accelerates quickly with lots of power and a healthy exhaust note. The car drives tight, smooth and quietly with excellent brakes and nice tires, steering, ride and suspension - all good signs of a well looked after car. The engine compartment is beautifully clean.Overall, a handsome original that has barely shown any wear over its 32 years of life. This well-preserved gem of a motorcar is offered in the fantastic, quintessential Mercedes color scheme of silver with blue trim and is sure to please it's next lucky caretaker.
