This is an excellent example of a well maintained 1982 MB 300d.It has been a daily driver in the warm months for the last 5 years and garaged winters. The typical body and frame rust on this 300d are virtually non existent. Wheel wells, doors and frame are rust free. There is a small amount of surface patina on the hood. There are 2 spots of rust in front of the front wheels the size of a Quarter. The car is solid and very intact. Flawless leather seats, the dash is uncracked, even has the original first aid kit in the back dash. The engine and transmission are original. When cold and in reverse, the transmission is slow to engage, this is a band that needs to be tightened, just haven't done it because not driving in reverse much. The electrical is solid, if there is an electrical issue, it is a blown fuse. The original intention was to restore this car, but as my children got older, we purchased a dog, and this is not a car for a large dog...So to the minivan I go...This is a beautiful car and am sad to see it goComes with the original Blaupunkt radio if looking to restore it completely. The car is running on older Michelin tire with a full tread.Have changed the oil every 3500 miles. This model goes to 1,000,000 miles New Parts replaced in my tenure:-All New Glow Plugs-Brakes, Calipers, Rotors all around-All shocks and struts-Alternator-Starter-Battery-Front and Rear Windshields-Fan/Blower Motor-Engine Fan-Both Front blinker lenses
